Heath Slater
Fueled by a mouth that never stops running and arrogance as scorching as the shock of red hair on his head, Heath Slater certainly lives up to his self-imposed moniker, “The One-Man Band.”

Hailing from West Virginia, Slater first exploded onto the WWE scene as a rookie on WWE NXT’s inaugural season. Right out of the gate, Slater made an impact becoming the first-ever NXT Rookie to defeat a WWE Pro in a singles match.

WWE Biography

Height: 6 foot 2
Weight: 232 pounds
From: Pineville, West Virginia
Associates: The Corre
WWE Debut: Feb. 23, 2010

Ask Heath Slater who the most talented WWE NXT season one rookie was and he won’t hesitate to say himself. Describing himself as a “one man rock band without the instruments,” this young stud from West Virginia may walk and talk with unabashed arrogance, but he has the talent in the ring to back up his big mouth.

Following the conclusion of NXT season one, Heath Slater and the other members of The Nexus came to Raw looking to make an impact. Feeling held back on WWE NXT, “The One Man Rock Band” saw attacking Raw Superstars and WWE Legends as the perfect opportunity to make a name for himself and along with his associates, be granted a WWE contract. Slater’s raw ability and endless confidence made him an integral member of the intimidating faction.

On the Jan. 21, 2011 edition of SmackDown, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Ezekiel Jackson and Heath Slater came before the WWE Universe to declare themselves The Corre. Barrett made it clear that unlike The Nexus, all four members of The Corre would be equals. They pledged to take SmackDown places it had never gone before.
