Yoshi Tatsu defeated Heath Slater in the dark match before the Royal Rumble PPV.
Match Number Two: Trent Barreta versus Heath Slater
Slater with a punch to Trent and then he sends Trent into the turnbuckles. Trent with a chop and kick followed by a forearm. Trent with a running forearm and then he connects with a European uppercut and sends Slater to the floor. Trent tries for a pescado but Slater moves out of the way. Slater sends Barreta into the ringside barrier and then into the apron.
Slater with a hot shot on the apron and then he kicks Barreta before sending him back into the ring. Slater gets a near fall. Slater with a reverse chin lock but Trent with punches. Slater with a thrust kick for a near fall. Slater with elbows to the upper chest and applies a reverse chin lock. Trent gets to his feet and he punches Trent.
Slater argues with the referee and that allows Trent to recover and he avoids a splash into the corner. Trent with an enzuigiri and both men are down. Trent with the double jump back elbow into the corner and then he hits the flying knee for a near fall. Slater goes to the apron and he connects with a shoulder.
Slater tries to get back into the ring and Trent counters with a Northern Lights suplex and bridge for a near fall. Trent goes up top but Slater jumps onto the turnbuckles and hits a power slam and Slater can only get a near fall.
Trent with an inside cradle for a near fall. Slater sends Trent into the ropes and then Slater with a flying clothesline for the three count.
Winner: Heath Slater

Match Number Four: Brodus Clay with The Funkettes versus Heath Slater
Brodus shakes and then he connects with a shoulder tackle and Slater yells at Clay. Slater tells Clay to go off the ropes. Slater with a drop kick but Clay stays on his feet. Clay with a head butt followed by a t-bone suplex and a splash into the corner followed by the cross body for the three count.
Winner: Brodus Clay

There’s not much of note to mention from the show, aside from Heath was a participant as a lumberjack in the main event of Mark Henry vs Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship. During the match, the lumberjacks all entered the ring, attacked both men and a battle royal style brawl ensued.
